AIA Singapore has appointed Irma Hadikusuma to the newly-created role of chief product proposition officer to help the firm focus on reorienting strategic priorities, according to media reports. The role will be effective from September 1, 2021, and the insurer believes that the new role will help the company to stay ahead of the curve and provide innovative experiences to its customers.

Hadikusuma will report to Wong Sze Keed, chief executive officer of AIA Singapore and she will also lead the newly formed product proposition team where she will provide her insights and strategic direction to the innovation, development and management. Hadikusuma’s input and direction will be valuable to help build AIA Singapore into a customer-centric portfolio for all of the insurer’s distribution channels.

Hadikusuma, who is also a fellow of the Institute of the Actuaries, UK has previously held several actuarial, business development, and marketing roles. In a career spanning for 18 years, Hadikusuma joined AIA Singapore in 2013 as head of Customer Segment Management.

Prior to this, she served as head of Product, Funds Development and Implementation team where she was in charge of overseeing the development, management and implementation of investment-linked policy funds and products.

Hadikusuma has also served as regional business development director at the regional chief executive office, covering the markets of Singapore and Brunei, Malaysia, Indonesia, Cambodia and Myanmar.

Wong told the media, “As a people-centric organisation, AIA Singapore is focused on driving inclusion and collaboration by developing and nurturing our strong pool of talent. I am delighted to welcome Irma as our new chief product proposition officer, where she will play an essential role in our transformation into an organisation of the future and digital-first life insurer.”
