Chungbuk Province appointed Koh Sang-gu as honorary ambassador of Vietnam K Market

(청주=연하뉴스) 박재천 기자 = 김영환 충북지사는 19일 베트남에서 활동 중인 고상구 K&K글로벌트레이딩 회장을 도 명예대사로 위촉했다.

고 회장은 베트남 전역에서 한국식품 유통매장 'K-마켓'을 136개 운영하고 있으며 제18차 세계한상대회장, 제2대 장보고한상수상자협의회장 등을 역임했다.

도는 재베트남 한인회 총연합회장을 겸임하는 등 다양한 인적 네트워크를 갖춘 고 회장이 베트남 기업 투자유치, 충북 농산물 수출, 양 지역 교류 협력 등에 큰 도움을 줄 것으로 기대하고 있다.

고 명예대사는 "충북의 명품쌀 등 농산물을 베트남에서 소비하는 방안을 구상해 왔다"며 "농산물은 물론 충북 중소기업들의 해외시장 판로 개척에도 도움이 되도록 노력하겠다"고 강조했다.

김 지사는 "고 대사의 협조 속에 농식품 수출 등 여러 분야에서 베트남과 폭넓은 협력이 이뤄지길 기대한다"고 말했다. 

충북은 7개 분야 11개국 30명의 명예 대사와 24개국 50명의 국제자문관을 두고 있다.

이들은 해외 현지에서 충북기업 홍보, 투자유치, 신규 교류지역 개척 등 충북발전을 위한 역할을 하고 있다.

(Cheongju = New Year's News) Reporter Jae-cheon Park = On the 19th, Kim Young-hwan, the governor of North Chungcheong Province, appointed Koh Sang-gu, chairman of K&K Global Trading, who is active in Vietnam, as the honorary ambassador for the province.

Chairman Ko is running 136 Korean food distribution stores 'K-Market' across Vietnam, and has served as chairman of the 18th World Korean Business Convention and the second chairman of the Jang Bogo Korean Chamber of Commerce Award winners.

The province expects that Chairman Koh, who has various human networks, such as concurrently serving as president of the Korean Association of Vietnam in Vietnam, will greatly help in attracting investment from Vietnamese companies, exporting agricultural products from North Chungcheong Province, and exchanges and cooperation between the two regions.

Honorary ambassador Koh emphasized, "We have been devising ways to consume agricultural products such as premium rice from North Chungcheong Province in Vietnam."

Governor Kim said, "I look forward to broad cooperation with Vietnam in various fields, including agricultural and food exports, with the cooperation of Ambassador Ko."

Chungbuk has 30 honorary ambassadors from 11 countries in 7 fields and 50 international advisors from 24 countries.

They are playing a role for the development of North Chungcheong Province by promoting North Chungcheong businesses overseas, attracting investment, and developing new exchange areas.
