Professor Vo Tong Xuan is known as a scientist specializing in agricultural research in Vietnam, especially in the Mekong Delta, which is considered the "rice bowl" of the country, providing the rice products exported from Vietnam to markets around the world.

Professor Vo Tong Xuan (born in 1940, in Long Xuyen city), he became an international student in Japan in 1974. In the country of "rising sun", he studied at Kyushu University with the topic Research paper related to rice growing techniques in the tropics and completed a PhD (Agronomy) Program here.
