Originating as a Doctor of Energy & Materials Science, and having the good fortune to set foot in leading corporations such as IBM, Kodak, Mr. My has the opportunity to apply what he has learned at the university. Mr. My used to be a research scientist for IBM Almaden Research Center. Thereafter, he held the position of Technical Manager for many years at Kodak Polychrome Graphics. With more than 60 patents recognized in the US, Canada and Europe, these are important prerequisites for him to realize his dream at home today.

From an orphan boy, his father had to earn a living by doing all kinds of jobs, porters at the harbor, selling ice cream to bread... to earn money to help his mother raise him. Years of floating around, earning a living by washing dishes, tutoring... to study and rise, becoming a doctorate in energy and materials science.

All his efforts are only for one day to return to Tra Vinh to help his hometown Tra Vinh, contribute to the homeland, build businesses to create jobs for people in Tra Vinh.

My Lan Group currently has many partners in the United States, Canada, Singapore and Japan, with four member companies including My Lan Chemical Company, My Lan Printing Materials Manufacturing Company, and Optoelectronics Company. and American Dye Source in Canada with more than 500 employees under the age of 27.

My uncle's inventions today with high technology applied to agriculture such as Big Data, AI have helped a lot for farmers in the western region over time, for example, measuring and predicting salinity and alum of the country for agricultural workers, and 3D printing products are now also exported to many large corporations in the world.

A true businessman, and a creative scientist, an ambitious Vietnamese, with a warm heart who always turns to his homeland to serve is well worth the young generation's study and reflection.
