Investment project to upgrade Cao Lanh - Lo Te route connecting the two provinces of Dong Thap and Ho Chi Minh City. Can Tho and the route connecting Ho Chi Minh road through Kien Giang and Bac Lieu provinces with a total investment of nearly 5,000 billion VND, are being approved by the authorities, helping to connect the transport infrastructure of the delta provinces. Based on the forecast of transport demand on the route and the capital allocated in the medium-term public investment plan for the period of 2021 - 2025, the Ministry of Transport proposes to invest in a cross-sectional investment of the delta road class III, 02 lanes, road bed width 12 m, road surface 11 m wide, design speed 80 km/h.

Total project investment is 3,904 billion VND from the state budget. In which, the cost of construction and equipment is about 2,700 billion VND; cost of site clearance and resettlement is more than 522 billion dong; cost of project management, consulting and other expenses is nearly 230 billion dong; provision expense is about 449 billion dong.

The roadmap is as follows: Project preparation, expected from 2022; implementing site clearance and resettlement from 2022 - 2023, basically striving to reach 90% - 95; Project construction from 2023 and completed in 2025.
